الَّذِينَ يُقِيمُونَ الصَّلاَةَ وَمِمَّا
رَزَقْنَاهُمْ يُنفِقُونَ
who establish regular Salats, and spend out of what We have provided them with.
A believer takes faith as an inner personal feeling, which is
expressed by establishing regular Salat.
Therefore, establishing Salat is an expression of the inner-most feeling
toward Allah. For a believer the Salat will show:
·
his reverence and appreciation to Allah,
·
his obedience and commitment to Allah.
·
a renewed communion, on a repeated basis, with Allah,
·
he seeks to feel Allah's presence several times a day, and
·
he seeks the love of Allah through it.
Salat is an external expression of the inner feeling of the good
faith.
Ø
However, a Salat is meaningless if it only consists of standing, bowing, and prostrating. In such cases it is no more than a simple physical exercise. To be meaningful, during
the Salat the believer should sense that he is in Allah's presence. Thus, it becomes a renewal of this obedience to Allah and to His faith, Islam. The Salat
should bring to the believer's memory his allegiance or commitment to abide by Allah's teachings and guidance.
Ø
This Ayah also mentions that besides the Salat a believer extends of himself to help others by:
·
giving of his wealth or possession on regular basis,
·
using his brains to produce for Islam, and
·
mobilize his capabilities for the purpose.
Ø
Therefore, a believer rejoices in his inner faith in Allah, and upon hearing the Quran it will increase his faith. A believer totally relies on Allah, establishes regular
Salat, and shares with others of what Allah has given him.
