Sample Du’aa for before or after any Khutba
1. Sample of Du’aa to be read before the first Khutba:
Praise be to God whose praise cannot be adequately expressed Whose bounties cannot be adequately enumerated Whose Due cannot be fulfilled by ardent worship Whom no intellect can perceive, and whom no understanding can reach.
2. Another sample of Du’aa before the first Khutba:
Praise be to God who knows the innermost secrets of the hearts Whose power is manifest in His creation, Whom no eye can perceive Him, Whom an eye cannot deny His presence even though it cannot perceive Him, Whose presence fills the heart while it is unable to see Him.
3. Another sample of Du’aa to be read before the first Khutba:
ِAl-Hamdu Lillahi Rabbil Aalameen, Wassalaatu Wassalaamu Ala Khairl Mursaleen, Muhammad Al-Nabiyil Ummiyee, Wa Ala Aalihi wa Sahbihi Ajmaeen
Let all Praise be to God, the Lord of the World, and Let the Blessings and Peace be with the Best of Creation, Muhammad [who is] the unlettered Prophet; and [let it] be with His Progeny as well as all his Companions.
4. Another sample of Du’aa to be read before the first Khutba:
To Allah, our Lord, is the praise; we beseech Him for His blessings, and ask for His protection, and we seek refuge in Him from the mischief of our souls; He whom Allah guides will not go astray; and he whom Allah finds in error, there is none to guide him. We declare that there is no deity but Allah, and that Muhammad is His servant and Messenger.
It is recommended to read this Du’aa after every Salat al-Jumu’ah. Better still to hold hands with each person on your left and right side making a chain unbroken when reading it. This symbolizes your connections with other Muslim brothers. This Du’aa can be read after any congregational Salat if you so choose.
